- This project consisted of over
35,000sf of raised floor containing computer facilities,
telephone switch, and telecommunication equipment.
- In addition, it included 8700sf
of Network and Switch Control Center facilities which
monitor and control the entire WorldCom network.
- Major equipment included a 1400kW
emergency generator, 800kVA multi-module redundant
UPS, 310T of air-conditioning, and complete preaction
system.
- Additional UPS and Emergency
Generation now provide a total UPS capacity of two
separate 1500kVA multi-module redundant systems configured
in a separated output dual power cord configuration.
- This concept was developed following
a reliability evaluation of various alternatives.
- The total emergency generator
facility involves four 1750kVA parallel generators.
- The Module 1-4 Project involved
the conversion of over 500,000sf of space to primarily
office use. Other aspects of the project included
27,000sf of computer facility/control center, cafeteria,
and call center.
- The Module 5 project included
a new four story building with 240,000sf of space
consisting primarily of general office space. The
building also includes 2,000sf computer room, fitness
center, adjacent cafeteria, and 500 person call center.
