This historic homestead estate
is located in central Virginia. Original construction
of the manor home has been documented as early as
1794. The home was the primary residence of six generations
of the Wood-Glass family. Julian Wood Glass was the
philanthropic chairman of the board of Panhandle Producing
Company and North Star Petroleum.
Phillips+Bacon renovated
the garage and central plant facility to serve all
5 building with a system containing two 40 ton chillers
and thee boilers. Distribution was handled with Fan
Coil Units in the various buildings.
An adjacent 3,000 sq ft
Greenhouse and 2 story Tool Shed was converted into
a multi-media presentation and reception center.
